What is Organic Peru Coffee?
Organic Peru coffee is coffee grown in Peru without synthetic fertilizers or pesticides, following organic farming standards. It is known for its smooth flavor, medium body, and bright acidity. Not all Peruvian coffee is USDA organic; only those certified under USDA guidelines carry the label, though Peru is a major producer of organic coffee.

Is Coffee from Peru Good?
Yes, coffee from Peru is considered high quality. Peru produces high-altitude coffee, especially in regions like Cajamarca and Cusco. The beans typically have bright acidity, medium body, and tasting notes of fruit, floral, and chocolate. Many smallholder farmers in Peru avoid synthetic chemicals for economic reasons and practice traditional organic-by-default farming. Coffee from El Palto is high quality, consistently scoring 83-86 on the SCA scale, with microlots reaching scores of 85-86.

How are Peruvian Organic Coffee Beans Roasted?
Our Organic Peruvian coffee beans are roasted in small batches using a 20-kilo STA Impianti drum roaster. Beans are freshly roasted to order and shipped immediately to ensure maximum freshness.

What Does Organic Peruvian Coffee Taste Like?
Organic Peruvian coffee has a balanced sweetness with notes of brown sugar or honey. It features medium but juicy acidity and a smooth, medium-bodied mouthfeel.
