what is decaf espresso

What is Decaf Espresso?

Decaf Espressois a coffee beverage made by forcing hot water under high pressure through finely-ground, decaffeinated coffee beans. Decaf espresso can be made from any decaffeinated coffee bean because "espresso" refers to the brewing method, not the bean type.

What Are the Best Decaf Espresso Beans?

The best decaf espresso beans are specialty-grade (SCA score 80+), decaffeinated using Swiss Water, CO2, or sugarcane methods, and roasted medium-dark. This preserves flavor and avoids oily residue that can clog superautomatic machines, unlike overly dark commercial roasts. The best decaf coffee beans for espresso have traceable origins with clear information about grade, region, altitude, producer, processing method, varietals, and flavor.

does decaf espresso have caffeine

Does Decaf Espresso Have Caffeine?

Yes, a single shot (1 oz) of decaf espresso can contain 3 to 15 milligrams of caffeine, while a regular espresso shot has about 63 mg, according to the USDA. Decaf espresso still has a tiny bit of caffeine because the decaffeination process can't remove all of it. Government rules about how much caffeine can be left in decaf coffee are different in different places.

How is Decaf Espresso Coffee Decaffeinated?

Colipse's Decaf Espresso blend uses coffee beans and grounds that are decaffeinated using the Swiss Water Process. These decaffeinated beans are sourced, roasted, and delivered fresh by our team at Temecula Coffee Roasters in California.

Love it!

I only drink decaf as my stomach can't handle caffeine. Was looking for the cleanest and best decaf coffee on the market and I think I found it. This coffee is delicious, a little pricey but worth it.
